Japanese Sake Labels

Held at LOFT Umeda in Osaka from 2015/12/8 to 2016/1/13, 28 artists created and exhibited original sake label designs. During the exhibition sixty bottles were sold for 888yen each, with proceeds going to the victims of the Eastern Japan earthquake of 2011.

For the event I collaborated with the Japanese Sake company Kikuzakari, and designed a label for them for a limited run product. Using creatures from Japanese folk tales as inspiration, I designed the label below, which was then added to sake bottles using screen printing.

2015年12月8日から2016年1月13日までの間、大阪のLOFT梅田店にて、「I LOVE SAKE 日本酒マニアック博」が開催され、28人のアーティストがオリジナルの日本酒ラベルのデザインを作成し展示しました。展示会期間中、60本のボトルが1本888円で販売され、収益金の一部は2011年の東日本大震災の被害者へ寄付されました。

展示では、酒造会社である「喜久盛酒造」とコラボし、限定商品のラベルをデザインしました。日本の昔話に登場する生き物からインスピレーションを得て、下記のラベルをデザインし、スクリーン印刷を使用して酒瓶にプリントアウトされました。
