Collaboration with Norah Jones
I had the opportunity to create a music video, inspired by Norah Jones’ song, “Christmas Calling” from her album, “I Dream Of Christmas”. “I Dream Of Christmas” is Nora’s first Christmas album, and is special, as she created it specifically during COVID. I created the story and illustrations while listening to the song many, many times. I hope that her song, and the video help spread joy and togetherness this holiday season.
ノラ・ジョーンズのクリスマス・アルバム『アイ・ドリーム・オブ・クリスマス』の一曲である、「クリスマス・コーリング（原題：Christmas Calling(Jolly Jones)）」からインスピレーションを受けてオリジナルの絵本を制作する機会を得られました。
『アイ・ドリーム・オブ・クリスマス』は ノラ・ジョーンズの約20年に及ぶキャリアの中で初のクリスマス・アルバムであり、特にコロナ禍で書かれた特別な楽曲の為、「大切な人と少しでも繋がっていたい」という率直な思いが込められています。私は、彼女の曲を何度も繰り返し聴きながら絵本のストーリーとイラストを制作しました。ノラの楽曲が彼女の想いと共に、このホリデーシーズンに拡まることを心から祈っております。
